The carbide substrate uses imported ultra-fine powder with a grain size of approximately 0.4 μm for high hardness, wear resistance and consistent cutting edges.
A 9% cobalt content balances substrate hardness, cutting-edge strength and fracture resistance during high-hardness steel machining.
The bronze-colored DR3 coating provides resistance to heat and abrasive wear at cutting temperatures up to approximately 1300°C, supporting stable performance during extended finishing operations.
The large 68% core diameter increases cutter rigidity and helps reduce deflection and vibration under high cutting pressure.
The controlled negative peripheral rake strengthens the cutting edge and helps reduce premature chipping during hardened steel machining.
Square end mills use a 45° helix, while ball nose and corner radius end mills use a 35° helix matched to curved, inclined and radius finishing operations.
Automated rubber-bonded diamond polishing helps maintain consistent edge preparation across each cutting edge, with the honing value controlled within ±3 μm.
Walter five-axis precision grinding supports cutting-edge sharpness, dimensional accuracy and repeatable tool geometry for smoother cutting.
Ball nose and corner radius tools can achieve an R-profile grinding accuracy of approximately 0.003–0.005 mm for consistent cavity and contour finishing.
