Carbide End Mills for Hardened Steel

ZHY carbide end mills for hardened steel are designed for semi-finishing and finishing heat-treated mold, die and tool steels in the HRC60–68 hardness range.

The range combines a 0.4 μm ultra-fine carbide substrate, 9% cobalt content, DR3 bronze high-wear-resistant coating, a 68% reinforced core and cutting geometry matched to square, ball nose and corner radius applications.

The carbide substrate uses imported ultra-fine powder with a grain size of approximately 0.4 μm for high hardness, wear resistance and consistent cutting edges.

A 9% cobalt content balances substrate hardness, cutting-edge strength and fracture resistance during high-hardness steel machining.

DR3 Bronze Wear-Resistant Coating

The bronze-colored DR3 coating provides resistance to heat and abrasive wear at cutting temperatures up to approximately 1300°C, supporting stable performance during extended finishing operations.
