Standard & Custom Sizes

Available Point Angle Options

Select the point angle according to the required positioning feature, following drill angle, chamfer geometry and machining process.

60°

60° Spot Drill

Available for selected centering, starter-point and positioning operations requiring a narrower included angle.

90°

90° Spot Drill

Suitable for hole positioning and selected 90-degree chamfering or countersink-related features.

120°

120° Spot Drill

Can be selected for starter-point machining before drills with a wider point angle and for suitable positioning applications.

OEM

Custom Point Geometry

Point angle, diameter, cutting length, shank dimensions and overall length can be reviewed according to drawings.

Recommended Machining Applications

Designed for CNC operations requiring accurate starter points, controlled positioning and reduced drill wandering before the following drilling process.

01

Hole Positioning

Creates a defined starter point to guide the following drill and support more stable hole location.

02

Pre-Drilling Preparation

Prepares the workpiece surface before standard drilling, especially when positioning control is required.

03

Centering Operations

Suitable for selected centering and starter-hole operations according to the required angle and hole feature.

04

Selected Chamfering

Suitable angles can also be used for light chamfering, edge preparation and selected countersink-related features.

Match the Spot Angle to the Following Drill

The point angle, spot diameter and spotting depth should be selected according to the following drill geometry, workpiece material, required chamfer feature and hole-positioning requirement.

Tool Structure and Machining Performance

The solid carbide body, 2-flute structure and selectable point angles support starter-point machining and consistent positioning under suitable CNC conditions.

01

Solid Carbide Construction

The solid carbide body supports tool rigidity, cutting-edge stability and dimensional consistency during spotting operations.

02

Three Point Angle Options

60°, 90° and 120° options support different positioning, centering, following-drill and chamfering requirements.

03

2-Flute Cutting Structure

The 2-flute configuration provides cutting edges and chip space for starter-point and selected chamfering operations.

04

Improved Drill Guidance

A properly selected spot feature helps guide the following drill and reduce unwanted movement at hole entry.

05

Application-Specific Coating

Coating can be selected according to the workpiece material, cutting heat, wear condition and required production quantity.

06

Custom Dimension Support

Tool diameter, point angle, cutting length, shank size and overall length can be produced to confirmed specifications.
