Description
Product Overview
This carbide square end mill is designed for slotting, side milling,
shoulder machining and flat-surface finishing of mold, die and tool
steels with workpiece hardness up to HRC60.
It combines an ultra-fine carbide substrate, HIPIMS TiAlSiN coating,
unequal end-tooth division and unequal helix geometry to improve
cutting stability, vibration resistance and surface consistency
during demanding mold steel machining.
Recommended Machining Applications
The flat cutting profile and anti-vibration geometry support common
mold manufacturing operations from material removal to flat-surface
finishing.
Slotting
Suitable for full-width slot machining in mold, die and
tool steels where stable cutting is required.
Side Milling
Designed for peripheral machining of mold walls,
external profiles and straight surfaces.
Shoulder Milling
Supports controlled shoulder machining and flat-bottom
cutting with consistent dimensional accuracy.
Flat-Surface Finishing
Suitable for finishing flat mold surfaces, pocket bottoms
and planar features.
Square End Mill Geometry and Cutting Performance
Carbide material, high-temperature coating, unequal geometry
and controlled edge preparation are combined to support stable
mold steel machining.
Ultra-Fine Carbide Substrate
Ultra-fine carbide with a grain size below 0.6 μm and
12% cobalt content provides a balance of cutting-edge
strength, toughness and wear resistance.
HIPIMS TiAlSiN Coating
The TiAlSiN coating uses HIPIMS deposition and an enhanced
alloying design to improve high-temperature performance,
reduce friction and support impact and crack resistance
at temperatures up to approximately 1200°C.
88° / 92° Unequal End Teeth
The two-degree unequal end-tooth division helps disrupt
repeated cutting forces, reduce vibration and improve
bottom-surface machining consistency.
35° / 37° Unequal Helix
Unequal peripheral helix angles help reduce harmonic
vibration during side milling, slotting and shoulder machining.
0° to −5° Rake Geometry
The controlled rake-angle range reinforces the cutting edge
and supports stable machining of difficult mold and tool steels
up to HRC60.
Flat-Bottom Cutting Profile
The square cutting profile is suitable for flat-bottom slots,
pockets, shoulders and planar finishing operations.
Fluid-Blasting Edge Preparation
Fluid blasting helps remove microscopic burrs and stabilize
the cutting edge, contributing to smoother cutting and
improved workpiece surface quality.
Automated Edge Polishing
Automated rubber-bonded diamond polishing helps maintain
consistent edge preparation, with the preparation value
controlled within ±0.003 mm.
